The Defense Inspectorate is an organizational unit of the Ministry on the level of the Service that supervises the military and civil defense systems. Supervisory activities relate to direct insight into the conditions and manner of work of implementers of general and individual acts regarding the implementation of the Defense Plan of the Republic of Croatia, readiness of commands, units and institutions of the Armed Forces, military conscription, staffing and mobilization of the Armed Forces, security measures and defense preparations of state authorities and legal entities particularly important for defense. The Defense Inspectorate assesses the readiness of the commands, units and institutions of the Armed Forces and performs other tasks entrusted to it by the Minister.
